Environmentally friendly container houses

One might not even realize the high number of unused containers located in ports all around the world. Utilizing those as container / mobile and lights structure houses instead of melting and recycling them may result in substantial energy savings – benefitting both our environment and ourselves. In case of a 6 meter long, double size container made of 7,000 kg of steel, savings may amount up to 16,000 KW energy. Our container and mobile houses are built using environmentally friendly and energy efficient technology.

Cost efficient container architecture

The average, per square meter cost of building container houses is 30-40 percent lower than traditional buildings made by brick. Such saving can also be achieved by applying certain pre-fabricated panel technologies. Assuming that one intends to spend less money on building the property, choosing the best and most appropriate technology is only a question of taste, trust and functionality.

Currently ever more people decide not to spend HUF 400,000 to 550,000 per square meter for a brick building – even if they could afford it – and rightly so, as one can own any container house for 60-70% of the price of a traditionally built house  (even turn-key). Moreover, a high quality container house project in most cases can be implemented at even lower costs than the rest of light structure buildings.

Container houses are reliable and stable

Due to their nature, the structure of containers is highly massive, they are almost indestructible – be it either a container residential house, office, weekend house, school, commercial lodging or restaurant.

Not only do they withstand weather conditions but also offer protection against earthquakes and hurricanes. Depending on the applied technology, they can be mobile or fixed buildings, as well as modular structures safely attached to each other (called foldable or expandable container builldings).

Speediness

The structural completion of a container house (including transportation) normally takes 1.5 months from signing the contract with the manufacturer assigned by us, while the construction takes about 1 week, with a couple of implementers. In other words, the container house is ready within two months. Following this only internal assembly and installation jobs need to be carried out, which the C4U team also completes rapidly and in high quality. Implementation may even be faster in case of the large panel based construction method. Meanwhile, building classic homes take between 6 to 12 months, often more due to a waiting list.

Mobility

Certain container houses can be relocated simply and rapidly, hence supporting our increasingly mobile lifestyle. There are regions where building site regulations only allow mobile structures. Container buildings offer excellent solutions in such cases as well. Foldable and extendable container houses are the right structures in a rapidly changing environment.
